Oddelek za etnologijo in kulturno antropologijo Filozofske fakultete vabi na predavanje, ki ga bo v okviru seminarja Urbana antropologija (v predavalnici P1, OEIKA, Zavetiška 5) imel dr. Aleksander Takovski (South East European University). Predavanje z naslovom Relevance and applicability of (Critical) discourse studies to Applied anthropology/Ustreznost in uporabnost (kritičnih) diskurznih študij za uporabno antropologijo) bo v ponedeljek, 13. novembra 2017, ob 13.00 uri.
Predavanje bo v angleškem jeziku.
*The lecture aims to introduce students of Anthropology to the formative traditions and the key ideas, concepts and methods of Critical Discourse Studies and few other closely related fields of discourse analysis in order to approximate the relevance and potential use of this interdisciplinary pool of problem oriented studies to the practices and needs of future applied anthropology professionals.
Dr. Aleksandar Takovski currently works as an Assistant Professor of Discourse Analysis at the SEE University, Macedonia. His research spans across several interdisciplinary areas of study such as political discourse analysis, critical discourse analysis, social and landscape semiotics, multimodality, as well as humour. Within this array of areas, he is principally interested in the discursive structures and strategies of social actors' representation, discursive means of argumentation and legitimization, spatial and discursive construction of national narratives, pragmatics of political humour, construction of national identity through humor, use of multimodality and humour in teaching, and use of images in political communication.
