Introductory Seminar consists of exercises in which students actively participate. The exercises include: reading and interpretation of architectural plans and drawings, identification of architectural types, description and analysis of the exterior and interior, style analysis, identification of architectural elements and the use of terminology; in sculpture and painting genres, techniques, and style are analyzed; works of art are also considered in their original context. Selection of case-studies covers the geographical areas which have been traditionally interesting for Slovenian art history: Slovenia and Central Europe, north of Italy and the Adriatic area.
