The subject consists of two sub-subjects:
Translation from French into Slovene 2
Translation-Oriented French Idiomatics and stylistics
Translation from French into Slovene:
Students reinforce their knowledge and skills gained in the first year in translation from French into Slovene; by working with selected general texts they familiarize themselves with translation problems and how to solve them.
Translating selected general texts with various functions from French into Slovene.
Translation-oriented French idiomatics and stylistics:
Contrastive phraseme classification and typification, use in various text types and genres, phraseme connotation; learning about the most well-known or most frequently used phrasemes; defining the basic stylistic concepts: learning about and distinguishing between stylistic elements and figures within individual text types, categorization and typification of styles with regard to text types with special culturally conditioned features relevant for translation practice.
