The students get in touch with the fundamental genres of non-literary texts, from the works of popular science to journalism, and the various aspects of the relationship between professional text and the media. They are trained to understand the differences between scientific and popular writing and to use quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis of professional texts. They observe a variety of relationships between the content and its description with regard to the intended target group.
