The content of this course is based on the description of the Czech design system as it is traditionally shown in Czech grammars. It is intended for the study of word types and morphological forms of inflectional word classes as determined by the Czech tradition (noun, adjective, pronoun, numeral, verb). Uninflected word types to be considered only marginally.
Special emphasis is placed on the differences in the morphological system of Czech and Slovene (eg the existence of hard and soft declension patterns in Czech) and on the practical comparison between the two languages.
In addition to systemic differences, we also focus on exceptions and irregularities in the set of Czech suffixes for individual declension and conjugation types.
