Prof. Dr. Dean Komel

Dean Komel is Professor of Contemporary Philosophy and Philosophy of Culture at the Department of Philosophy (Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana) and the head of research activities at the Institute Nova Revija for the Humanities (Ljubljana).

Research interest:

Phenomenology, hermeneutics,  philosophy of culture, contemporary philosophy, intercultural hermeneutics,  interdisciplinary humanities,  history of philosophy, philosophy of art, political philosophy, philosophical translation and terminology, philosophy in former Yugoslavia and Slovenia, existentialism, nihilism European idea, global justice, social and cultural critics.
