Prof. Dr. Špela Virant

Špela Virant, PhD, is a full Professor in German literature at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. She studied comparative literature and German. Her research work focuses on modern German literature, theory and history of drama, intercultural literary studies, and literary criticism. She published two monographs –Redramatisierter Eros: zur Dramatik der 1990er Jahre, and Deutschsprachige Literatur: Epochen und Traditionen–, and was co-editing the journal Ars & Humanitas. She published several articles on contemporary German literature.
