Marjana Dolšina Delač (1984) studied art history at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana and graduated in 2010 with a thesis on depictions of children in medieval visual arts. In 2020 she received her PhD degree at the Department of Art History, Faculty of Arts, Ljubljana with the thesis Art History Discourse in Slovenia According to Official Curricula under the supervision of Distinguished Professor Nataša Golob. From 2008 to 2023 she taught art history and fine arts in various high school programmes. She participated in pedagogical development projects and obtained the title of teacher-consultant. Since 2010 she has been a member of the Development team for art history at the National Education Institute Slovenia. In 2016 she was elected to the position of assistant at the Department of Art History, Faculty of Arts, Ljubljana for the field of didactics of art history. Currently she is teaching Didactics of History of Art I and II, Teaching Practice for Art History Teachers (lecturer: Professor Tine Germ) as well as Introductory seminar to general art history I and II (lecturer: Assistant Professor Rebeka Vidrih) and Contemporary approaches to teaching and learning art history (lecturer: Professor Tine Germ).
“Marjana Dolšina Delač (1984) received her PhD in 2020 at the Department of Art History, Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana, under the supervision of Emer. Prof. Dr. Dr. Nataša Golob, with the dissertation Art History Discourse in Slovenia According to Official Curricula. Between 2008 and 2023 she taught art history and fine arts in various secondary-school programmes and participated in developmental pedagogical projects. Since 2016 she has been habilitated at the Department of Art History, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, as an Assistant in the field of art-history didactics, and since 2025 as an Assistant professor in the same field. She currently teaches the following courses: Didactics of History of Art I and II, Teaching Practice for Art History, and the elective course Contemporary Approaches to Teaching and Learning Art History, coordinated by Professor Tine Germ, as well as the Introductory seminar to general art history I and II, coordinated by Assistant Professor Rebeka Vidrih. Her research focuses on the didactics of art history.”
