Raziskovalno se posvečam prevodoslovju, zgodovinskemu jezikoslovju, zgodovinski sociolingvistiki in slovstveni folklori. Poleg angleščine raziskujem tudi keltske jezike (predvsem valižanščino) in francoščino.
