Utemeljitev projekta
Raziskave v različnih evropskih državah (PISA, PIRLS) so pokazale, da obseg branja pri učencih višjih razredov osnovnih šol izrazito upada (tako primerjalno s prejšnjimi generacijami kot glede na mlajše učence). Trend je problematičen, sploh v luči z njim povezano nezadovoljivo ravnijo bralne pismenosti ter nizko motivacijo za branje. To problematiko želimo nasloviti z uvedbo novih pristopov za spodbujanje branja za užitek, ki bi razširili možnosti za pridobivanje dobrih bralnih izkušenj in ustvarili nove načine zapeljevanja v branje tudi v digitalni dobi. Projekt se tako loteva izziva, kako v šolah narediti prostor oz. več prostora branju za užitek, ki je, po mnogih študijah sodeč, temelj bralne motivacije, ključno izhodišče za razvoj bralnih kompetenc in kar najboljša popotnica za doseganje učnih uspehov, pa tudi trdna osnova za različne oblike družbene in kulturne participacije. Študije kažejo na upad bralne motivacije po 10. letu, zato se pri projektu osredotočamo na starostno skupino od 9 do 11 let.
Očrt projekta*
V projektu bomo zasnovali teorijo in prakso spodbujanja branja za užitek, ki bo upoštevala različne bralne profile, in s tem znanjem opremili izbrane sodelujoče knjižničarje, specializirane za otroško in mladinsko literaturo, ki bodo delovali kot bralni motivatorji na osnovnih šolah.
Bralni motivatorji bodo kot zunaj-šolsko osebje poskusili z novimi pristopi k branju pritegniti čim več otrok. Svoje delo bodo vsebinsko in formalno prilagajali konkretnemu bralnemu profilu udeležencev. Pri tem bodo izhajali iz učenčeve celovite bralne izkušnje, ki vključuje šolsko in nešolsko branje in se osredotoča na spodbujanje branja ter zmanjševanje odpora do branja. Uporabljali bodo odprt in raznolik nabor bralnega gradiva, od tradicionalnih tiskanih knjig do stripov in digitalnih besedil, in širok nabor formatov.
Z učenci bodo izvedli serijo delavnic, učiteljem in knjižničarjem na šoli pa ponudili predstavitev svojega dela in po želji tudi individualne konzultacije o tem, kako dobre prakse aplicirati tudi na obvezni program.
Izvedba
V prvi fazi bo projektna skupina s pomočjo vprašalnikov izdelala tipologijo bralnih profilov osnovnošolcev in pripravila gradivo oz. vsebine, na osnovi katerih bomo nato izvedli usposabljanje bralnih motivatorjev.
Bralni motivatorji bodo v naslednji fazi obiskali šole in na njih izpeljali serijo bralnih delavnic z učenci in seminar za učitelje oz. zainteresirane zaposlene. Vključili bomo učence 4., 5. in 6. razredov.
Temu bo sledila ključna faza evalvacije vseh elementov projekta, na osnovi katere bomo analizirali uspešnost naše izvedbe.
Vseskozi bo potekala tudi diseminacija projektnih ugotovitev in gradiv.
Želeni rezultati in učinki projekta
Projekt naslavlja branje za užitek, ki ga šole znotraj svojih rednih vsebin težje vključujejo. Z vpeljavo bralnih motivatorjev želimo vsakega učenca opolnomočiti z dobro bralno izkušnjo. Z novimi pristopi in upoštevaje konkurenčne digitalne vire prostočasja, lahko bralni motivatorji postanejo nova sila v prizadevanju za krepitev bralne kondicije med mladimi in jim v skladu z njihovimi željami in potrebami pomagajo tlakovati pot do knjige in branja.
Na osnovi ugotovitev želimo med drugim pripraviti:
- tipologijo bralnih profilov mladih bralcev,
- (e-)gradiva in vsebine za izobraževanje bralnih motivatorjev,
- (e-)priročnik dobrih praks s smernicami za delo z različnimi skupinami mladih bralcev
- predlog profila bralnega motivatorja kot stalnega zunanjega sodelavca vzgojno-izobraževalnih zavodov.

Tretje letno srečanje programske skupine Erasmus+ projekta Bralni motivatorji v digitalni dobi: novi pristopi za spodbujanje branja za užitek v osnovni šoli (na kratko MORE), je potekalo med 20. in 22. avgustom 2025 v Turku na Finskem. Delovno srečanje je gostila naša partnerska organizacija Mestna knjižnica v Turku.
Sestanek se je osredotočil na pregled dosedanjega dela, tj. pregled in oceno delavnic z bralnimi motivatorji, pregled in evalvacijo dobrih praks delavnic, ki so jih bralni motivatorji izvedli z otroki v šolah v vseh treh partnerskih državah (Slovenija, Italija, Finska) in na končno evalvacijo dejavnosti projekta.
V okviru delovnega srečanja smo se udeležili likovne delavnice kot primer dobre prakse dela z otroki priseljenci, ogledali smo si prostore, zbirko in storitve Mestne knjižnice Turku in Mestne knjižnice Oodi v Helsinkih.

Med 9. in 10. septembrom 2024 se je odvil letni sestanek programske skupine Erasmus+ projekta Bralni motivatorji v digitalni dobi: novi pristopi za spodbujanje branja za užitek v osnovni šoli. Srečanje je tokrat potekalo v organizaciji partnerske organizacije Italijanskega združenja za pismenost (ALI Italija).
Poleg organizatork dr. Tiziane Mascie in ge. Assunte di Febo ter italijanskih bralnih motivatorjev, so se srečanja v živo udeležile še dr. Ana Vogrinčič Čepič, dr. Sonja Pečjak, dr. Tina Pirc, dr. Veronika Rot Gabrovec, Mojca Žaberl, (Slovenija), dr. Juli-Anna Aerila, Sanna Hernelahti, Liisa Saarinen, Miia Utriainen (Finska), kolegi, bodoči bralni motivatorji iz Slovenije pa preko spleta.
Delovno srečanje je potekalo dva dni v prostorih Laboratoria Formentini, Milano. Glavni poudarek je bil na pregledu dosedanjega dela, torej pregledu kratkega vprašalnika, evalvacijskih protokolov, dosedanjih izvedb izobraževanj za bralne motivatorje, priprave za izvedbo delavnic na šolah bralnih motivatorjev z otroki, pregledu dobrih praks že izvedenih delavnic z otroki s Finske ter predstavitev motivacijskega pripomočka bralnih kart BooKards.

V Chanii (Grčija) je od 24. do 26. junija potekala 23. Evropska konferenca o pismenosti. Tema letošnje konference je bila Pismenost za vse: novi izzivi, nove perspektive. Konferenco je organiziralo Helensko združenje za jezik in pismenost (Hellenic Association for Language and Literacy) skupaj z Zvezo evropskih bralnih društev (Federation of European Literacy Asociations FELA).
Zveza evropskih bralnih društev, v nadaljevanju FELA, je mreža 28 organizacij za pismenost, katere glavna naloga je povezati vse ljudi v Evropi, ki se posvečajo spodbujanju pismenosti na vseh ravneh izobraževanja. Članice podpirajo prakse na področju poučevanja, učenja in raziskovanja pismenosti, vsi skupaj pa tvorijo živahno, aktivno in predano učno skupnost. FELA organizira številna srečanja, konference, seminarje, spletne seminarje, programe izmenjav, podpira raziskave in izdaja publikacije s ciljem doseči splošno pismenost v Evropi. Iz Slovenije v tej mreži sodelujeta Bralno društvo Slovenije in Društvo Bralna značka Slovenije – ZPMS.
Osrednja tema konference so bili novi izzivi in nove perspektive pismenosti, temelja človekovega razvoja. Prispevki na konferenci so naslavljali vsebine, kot so zgodnja pismenosti (med 0-12 let), učinkovito poučevanje pismenosti, digitalna pismenost, različna okolja pismenosti, inkluzivne prakse pismenosti za različne učence in vseživljenjski razvoj veščin pismenosti.
Konference smo se udeležile tudi nekatere članice naše projektne ekipe, in sicer dr. A. Vogrinčič Čepič, dr. V. Rot Gabrovec, Mojca Žaberl in dr. Tiziana Mascia.
Dr. A. Vogrinčič Čepič in dr. V. Rot Gabrovec sta predstavili projekt, njegovo zasnovo in rezultate našega dosedanjega dela. Predstavili sta pripravo dolgega vprašalnika za testiranje bralcev v osnovnih šolah, pripravo kratkega vprašalnika kot pripomočka za profiliranje bralcev in tečaj za motivatorje branja, ki trenutno poteka v vseh partnerskih organizacijah. Še posebej je bila za udeležence zanimiva predstavitev igralnih kart, ki nastajajo v okviru projekta in bodo služile kot igralno-bralni pripomoček pri delu z mladimi bralci. Pripomoček bi si želeli imeti slušatelji čim prej dostopen na spletu za širšo javnost.
Več sto udeležencev konference smo tri dni poslušali in razpravljali o raznoterih vidikih pismenosti, vsi pa smo se strinjali, da pismenost izrazito upada in da je treba v prihodnje poskrbeti predvsem za razvijanje kritičnega, poglobljenega razmišljanja. Ob zaključku slovesnosti smo izvedeli, da bo naslednja 24. FELA konferenca o pismenosti potekala leta 2026 v Ljubljani. Takrat bomo lahko že poročali o zaključku projekta in njegovih rezultatih.

Med 11. in 13. septembrom 2023 se je odvil tridnevni letni sestanek programske skupine. Srečanje je organizirala Filozofska fakulteta (FF), ki je tudi koordinatorica projekta.
Vodja projekta dr. Ana Vogrinčič Čepič je s slovenskim delom ekipe (dr. Sonja Pečjak, dr. Tina Pirc, dr. Veronika Rot Gabrovec in Mojca Žaberl) na fakulteti gostila kolegici s partnerskih organizacij, dr. Juli-Anno Aerila z Univerze v Turku in dr. Tiziano Mascia, direktorico Italijanskega združenja za pismenost.
Delovno srečanje je potekalo tri dni, večinoma na Filozofski fakulteti. Glavni poudarek je bil na pripravi spletnega vprašalnika za otroke, ki bo osnova za izdelavo tipologije različnih profilov otroških bralcev, kar je eden od glavnih ciljev projekta. V torek, 12. 9., smo se srečali na delovnem sestanku z gospo Matejo Lesar iz slovenske partnerske organizacije Mestne knjižnice Ljubljana (MKL). Spoznali smo se s kolegi knjižničarji iz MKL, ki se bodo tekom projekta izobrazili v bralne motivatorje in poskusili z novimi pristopi k branju pritegniti čim več otrok.
Nekaj utrinkov iz diskusij srečanja
V februarju 2023 smo uspešno izvedli predstavitev projekta in s spoznavni sestanek s partnerskimi organizacijami, kjer smo tudi že naredili načrt dela za naprej. Veseli smo, da lahko sodelujemo z bralnim združenjem iz Italije, Univerzo Turku in Mestno knjižnico Turku iz Finske ter Mestno knjižnico Ljubljana.
